Ordained to eternal life.

HE IS RISEN

HE IS RISEN

(If not chosen by Almighty God, then they cannot be saved).

“And as many as were ordained to

 eternal life believed”

This word which our Almighty God has given to us goes without saying, that if people in this world are not chosen by God, then they cannot be saved. For by God’s grace we are saved through Christ Jesus, who is the gift of God.

Well you may say if this is the case, then how can God find fault with those who refuse to believe, for God has not chosen them. But what right have we to question God? He made some of us for eternal life, but not all, the Holy Scriptures says, that He has also made the wicked for the day of evil.

“The Lord hath made all things for himself; yea, even the wicked for the day of evil”.   “Hath not the potter power over the clay, of the same lump to make one vessel unto honour, and another unto dishonour?   {Romans 9 v 21}. & {Proverbs 16 v 4}.

Jesus said, “Ye have not chosen me, but I have chosen you”. {John 15:16}.

Now the people whom God has chosen, He has decided to save them through the cross of Jesus, for it pleased God by the preaching of the gospel to save them that believe, that is why Jesus has told us that we must go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature. “He that believeth and is baptised shall be saved; But he that believeth not shall be damned”. {St Mark 16 v 15&16}.

Well, you may say these are strong words that Jesus has spoken, but this is how it shall be. Let us always serve God acceptably with reverence and Godly fear, for our God is a consuming fire as the Bible says.

Let us never take His name or His word lightly, for today we hear of many people taking His Holy name in vain, and I am not speaking about people of the world. For we know that they are ignorant to God’s word and we expect nothing else from them.

But when it comes to the church it gives me so much pain to hear of our Saviours name spoken of so irreverently, and jokes about passages in the Bible.  It must grieve the Holy Ghost so much, that He just walks away.

Many times during services when they were in full swing, my wife and I have had to walk out, leaving them to their ignorance.  Let us always be very sensitive to the presence of the Holy Ghost, for He is God.

If we want His powerful presence today to change lives we must always have reverence with Godly fear, for He has chosen us for salvation in Christ Jesus, and we are ordained to eternal life because we believe and we are chosen.

I thank the Lord always for you all, because God has chosen everyone of you for eternal life and I know that Jesus is praying for all of us who truly love Him and who try our very best to obey His Word. For Jesus said, “I pray not for the world, but for them which thou hath given me; for they are thine”. {St John 17 v 9}.

“According as He hath chosen us in Him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before Him in love” {Ephesians 1 v 4}.

I need Thee, precious Saviour, I need Thee day by day, To fill me with Thy fullness,

To lead me on my way: I need Thy Holy Spirit To teach me what I am,

To show me more of Jesus, To point me to the Lamb

Believed in hope

You must have hope

You must have hope

When things look hopeless in your life, and it seems impossible that the outcome can be anything but loss, if that be the loss of your health, or your relationships with members of your family and friends, or anything at all, we must still believe and have hope that everything will be well.

Now your problems may look and feel hopeless, because the mortgage lender is calling in his loan, or the doctor says, “You are never going to get better.”

You may not have any money, and feel quite sick, but still your hope must be in Jesus. For this kind of hope and faith makes our Father glad,

He will surely bless and help you to triumphantly come through any trial that you face today. For we know when our hope is in Christ, we are surely standing on solid ground.

Angel of the face

Jesus and angels-of-the-face-around

Jesus and angels-of-the-face-around

From The Bible Holy Scripture Book Jubilees Chapter1v3

“And he said to the angel of the face, write for Moses from the beginning of creation until my sanctuary shall have been established in their midst for all eternity, and the Lord will have appeared to the eyes of all and all, will know that I am the God of Israel and the father of all of the children of Jacob, and (Jesus) king on mount Zion, from eternity to eternity and Zion and Jerusalem will be holy.”

From this scripture we get the name of these special angels whose job is to write the oracles of God for man, they are mediators between God and man, thus they preserve the Holiness of God.

I came across pictures of these angels in Anglican churches; they were depicted in stained glass windows.

At first I thought that they were painted to fill in the spaces in the design of these windows. But on further examination I saw that they were specifically put in to represent the angel of the face, which is written in scripture.

Next time you enter a Church of England church take a good look around.

Discovering Christian Symbols

Christians used symbols to describe their faith phoenix like bird, which can be found in many churches

Christians used symbols to describe their faith phoenix like bird, which can be found in many churches

It is very interesting that the early Christians used symbols to describe their faith.

The symbol for God and Christ for they are one, is a phoenix, which can be found in many churches, depicted in many stained glass windows, and other objects.

The symbol of a phoenix was brought to the attention of Christians by St Clement an apostle of Paul,( do read my blog strange bird and st clement).

It was common for Christians to use symbols in the early church, but it is also common for Christians today to use symbols such as the lamb of God, to describe Christ, and the description of a dove for the Holy Spirit.

We know that God is not a phoenix, and Christ is not literally a lamb, and the Holy Spirit is not literally a dove. Yet this is the way we describe them for it is a way for us to understand the Godhead.

Other symbols that God has revealed to us, is the order of angels,( which I have posted on my blog under the title, God’s order of angels).

Today I hope that this teaching on God’s Christian symbols will be an encouragement to you, and the next time that you visit a Christian church do look very carefully and you will be very surprised at what you will discover.

Men returning from the Crusades in the eleventh century brought news of young virgin called Margaret of Antioch, a young Christian martyr.

She was a poor girl, living under Pagan rule, which put her Christian faith severely to the test.

Because of her faith she was imprisoned and, the story tells, in her dark dungeon the devil appeared to her in the guise of a terrible dragon, but by her faith in Jesus she faced him, he was overcome. Steadfast to the end, she was finally put to death for her Christian beliefs.

According to the ancient writings she was a native of Antioch,

Her father was an unbeliever.   Her mother died when Margaret was an infant, and the child was raised by a Christian woman. She lived in the country keeping sheep.

Part of her story involves her meeting the devil in the form of a dragon,  and how her faith in Jesus gave her the victory over him.

She was put to death in AD. 304

Margaret testimony is very widespread in England with more than 250 churches are dedicated to her.

On 15 July 1099 Jerusalem fell to the Crusaders after a five week siege and the victors proceeded to take the city. After 460 years of enemy rule, the Crusaders restored Jerusalem to Christian hands, and declared the city the capital of the Kingdom of Jerusalem.

The city’s populations underwent a significant change, has Christian Western culture now took center-stage, and Latin the language of prayer was heard again in Jerusalem.

Under the Crusaders Jerusalem once more assumed a Christian character, they renewed Christian traditions and rebuilt churches.

To the south was the quarter occupied by the Hospitalers (warrior knights who initially undertook to protect and guide pilgrims, and to lodge them in their vast Jerusalem hospice, and eventually became part of the Kingdom’s defenses).

The holy sites on the Temple Mount were declared Christian. The Temple Mount was the seat of the Templars, an order of monastic knights whose names derived from their location.

Living A Victorious Life

Living A Victorious Life

Living A Victorious Life

How do we live a victorious life in Christ Jesus? Now that we are saved we no longer want to do the things that we did in the past, but more than likely we find ourselves committing the same sins that Jesus delivered us from again, and we feel so defeated, our joy in the Lord disappears and our Christian walk becomes a continual struggle.

Well, the Word of God has the answer, we must remember that Jesus not only took all our sins upon the cross, and all our sicknesses, but also made provision for us to live the rest of our lives on earth victoriously.

Let me explain, if you find that you are doing things that you do not want to do because the flesh is weak, then cry out to Jesus, and make this your prayer,

“Jesus, take this evil away from me, I cannot stop, my flesh is weak, but you are strong, my spirit is willing, but my flesh is weak, for no longer I live, but you live in me, my life is crucified with you, and I cannot live without your grace in me. So you Lord Jesus break this sin that tries to make me obey it, and set me free, for if the Son shall make me free I shall be free indeed,” Amen.

Dear Loved Ones, we are not the first Christians to fail, but remember it is Christ’s faith, power and strength, yes, His grace that will get us through, call out to Him, because you cannot defeat sin or sickness in our own strength, the Bible says that the flesh profiteth nothing, it is the Spirit that giveth life, and the Spirit is Jesus, and it is Jesus that wants to reign in you, and give you the power to live victoriously.

The scriptures that we quote from the Bible are written for one reason and one reason only, and that is to point us to Christ, from Genesis to Revelation it cries Jesus, Jesus, Jesus. He was the answer for your salvation, and healing and He is the answer for you to live a good victorious Christian life. Jesus said, “without me ye can do nothing.” {St John 15 v 5}.

The Bible says in Philippians 1 v 6, “Being confident of this very thing, that He which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ,” which means that the Holy Ghost has called you in the beginning to accept Christ, and it is He that will bring us through to the time of Jesus return. For He is the Spirit of promise, and He is our guarantee that He will never ever leave us or forsake us.

Let us always remember that when we accepted Jesus as Saviour, the Bible says that our old life was crucified with Him on that cross at Calvary. But now we live, yet not ourselves but Christ liveth in us, and the life that we now live in the flesh, we live by the faith of the Son of God who loved us and gave His life for us.

My song shall be of Jesus; His mercy crowns my days, He fills my cup with blessings,

And tunes my heart to praise; My song shall be of Jesus, The precious Lamb of God,

Who gave Himself my ransom, And bought me with His blood.

Sir Galahad a Christian knight of the round table? (Could it be true?)

“Sir Galahad leaped down from his horse and held the dying man in his arms. When he touched the injury of his fallen comrade, the wound healed immediately and everyone stared at him in amazement.

You see, Galahad was as strong as ten men, but he was moved by people because his heart was so loving. He was the mightiest knight of the round table, even mightier than King Arthur,”

“Because he was the only knight to pass the toughest test. He was able to grasp the Holy Grail in his very hands.” “The grail is the chalice, the cup that Jesus blessed at the Last Supper”. Galahad was the only one of all the great knights who was so pure of heart, he was able to find the lost grail…” has we are told.

Angels can look Human

Is Saint George and Archangel Michael, one and the same ?

Is Saint George and Archangel Michael, one and the same ?

Angels can take on human form when ever they desire.

Archangel Michael

Archangel Michael

“Let brotherly love continue. Be not forgetful to entertain strangers; for thereby some have entertained angels unawares.” Hebrews 13: 1.2

St. George is the patron saint of England.

His emblem, a red cross on a white background, is the flag of England.

St George’s emblem was adopted by Richard The Lion Heart and brought to England in the 12th century. The king’s soldiers wore it on their tunics to avoid confusion in battle.

St. George the Dragonslayer

St. George is believed to have been born in Eastern Turkey in the year A.D. 270. He was a Christian.

At the age of seventeen he joined the Roman army and soon became renowned for his bravery.

He served under a pagan Emperor but never forgot his Christian faith.

The Emperor gave him many important missions, and on one of these he came to England.

It was while he was in England that he heard the Emperor was putting all Christians to death and so he returned to Rome to help his brother Christians.

He pleaded with the Emperor to spare their lives. But the Emperor did all he could to persuade St. George to give up his faith, but he refused and was finally beheaded on 23 April, 303.

On which day we the people of England now celebrate as St Georges day.

Pictures of St George can be found in many church of England churches throughout the land. The pictures above are both found in Anglican churches.

St George

It is said that St George helped some crusaders on the first and third crusades into the Holy land.

When St George came to the leaders of the crusaders they fell on their knees giving thanks to God through Christ Jesus.

Who is responsible?

Jesus the Way, the Truth and the Life

Jesus the Way, the Truth and the Life

Who is responsible for sin, you or the devil? I was pondering this question and brought it to the Lord in prayer, and He brought my mind to Genesis 3 v 13. “And the Lord God said unto the woman, what is this thou hast done?”  And the woman said, “the serpent beguiled me, and I did eat.”

Now, we know that God made Adam and Eve perfect, they were not born into sin they were clean in God’s eyes. God said when He had finished His work of creation in Genesis 1v 31, “ And God saw everything that He had made and behold it was very good.”

Adam and Eve were made very good they had no sin. Now the devil, also known as the serpent had more power than man. For God said that He had made the serpent more subtle  than any beast of the field that the Lord God had made.

The devil is a fallen angel, and God said that angels have more power than men, for it is written in the Bible that man is made a little lower than the angels. And so the devil is responsible for sin and not God’s children. Yet, because Eve sinned , she was not only going to die physically, but also spiritually. She needed a Saviour, thank God for Jesus.

Now God so loved the world that He sent His only begotten Son Jesus Christ, that all who would believe  (that is the chosen ones) (Christians) and repent from sin , which the fallen angel (satan) caused them to commit, would be forgiven and have eternal life.

Christians still commit sin when they are tempted, but they are not responsible, for the devil (an evil spirit), made them do it. Christians have no power to say no, for they have less power than the devil and his evil spirits.

Do you remember Mary Magdoline, she had many unclean spirits cast out of her by Jesus? Jesus knew that it was not her fault that she committed such unclean acts, She was a child of God whose name was written in the lambs book of life, written before the foundations of the earth. She cried out to Jesus, “ save me Lord”, Christ Jesus commanded the evil spirits to leave her, and she was free, praise God, and she was clean.

Jesus did this for many people, and for many more today who are chosen by God. For evil spirits( that is the offspring of the fallen angels) they are responsible for the wickedness on earth.

Paul said there is a war going on inside of him, making him sin, and we know that this war is demonic, for we war against principalities, and powers and wickedness in high places, as the Bible says.

Ephesians 6v12 says, “for we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wicknesses in high places,  ( high places means that they have more power).

Who was going to deliver Paul? Paul said I thank God through Jesus Christ our Lord. Jesus is the high power. The weapons of our war fare are not carnal.

Paul learned the secret which God’s people knew, that they must repent when they sinned, and bring to bear the name of JESUS CHRIST and His angelic angels to battle unseen principalities and powers, yes, evil spirits, of lust, uncleanliness, infirmities, and spirits of fear etc.

So, I conclude every child of God is not responsible for their sins. For the devil and his evil spirits caused them to sin. But, every Christian has a power that will break the back of any devil, and that is the power of repentance.

Because repentance always restores our relationship with God through our Lord Jesus Christ. And so there is no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh but after the spirit. Romans 8v1. Praise Him, Praise Him, Praise Him, JESUS.
